Helping Ukrainian People & Pets

There is a Herculean effort being undertaken by members of the public to try and help ease the suffering of Ukrainian people and their pets.

Anybody that has watched the awful happenings in the wonderful nation unfold is likely to have seen the aid efforts, with huge queues forming at donation sites and depots. It is wonderful to see such compassion in times of adversity, especially as many people in the UK and across Europe have their own challenges at the moment.

The White Eagle Club on Balham High Street is one such site that is collecting vital items to send to Ukrainians in need, and thanks to our friends at Pets at Home in Wimbledon, we were able to donate a large quantity of pet food to be taken to families who have fled their country.

People cannot fail to have been touched by the plight of this proud nation, with women & children and their pets forced to flee from the bombardment. Let’s just hope that peace can return quickly so that people can go home to be reunited with their loved ones and to rebuild their lives, houses and cities.
