Two-year old cats Honey and Raja were signed over to us by a lady in Croydon, who devastatingly had been evicted and could not bring her cats with her to her next accommodation.

The lady was understandably upset and sought to find the best home she could for her beloved pets. Fortunately she found us so we could offer them another good home and enable her move on to her next accommodation knowing she had done the right thing for her cats.
Thankfully we are regularly able to use our wonderful fosterers who will take in cats for a short period of time while we work to find the right home for them, but on this occasion Honey and Raja only stayed in their foster home for just over a week.
It wasn’t long at all before we managed to find them a brand new home with Abbey from Coulsdon who has been the exact right person to continue this pair’s journey.
With every new chapter, there must be new change! Honey and Raja are now known as Maggie and Raymond and they’ve gotten used to this change remarkably well, coming to Abbey when their name is called.

They’ve started a new adventure tasting the outside again and exploring their new surroundings. Abbey has been an absolute delight to work with and we have enjoyed hearing from her about Maggie and Raymond’s progress. She has been kind enough to say a few words about her experience welcoming them into her home:
‘We’ve had a great experience adopting two beautiful cats through the RSPCA. After completing a detailed adoption form, we were matched with several cats. But we took our time finding the perfect cats for us and our home. Raymond and Maggie have settled in to our home and are definitely part of the family.”

We are immensely grateful for those who decide to adopt their new pets from rescue organisations such as ours, as not only does it provide cats like Maggie and Raymond a second chance, it also allows us to use the limited private boarding facility & fosterer space we have to help even more animals and owners who may need it.
This pair are lucky to have had such a short stay in temporary accommodation, but rescue organisations across the country are very often full of cats that find it hard toget adopted. If you would like any further information on the adoption process, or if you would like to help us by providing your time and attention as a new fosterer, please do get in touch via our contact page.
