“On the 5th day of Christmas my true love gave to me……. Five Fluffy Kittens!”
Not quite, but our Animal Welfare Officer Cheska takes up our Christmas story….
“This week we’ve had to coordinate receiving five kittens from a man trying to help out part of his extended family when he realised they had become overrun with kittens.
They didn’t plan for the kittens and certainly wanted them to be rehomed to a more equipped home, however they were struggling to find the time to do it all properly!
One of our keen first-time fosterers was ecstatic when we got in touch, as she was hoping to help out with kittens where she could.
I had the pleasure of helping her set up her kitten room and watching them eat their first meal with us! See the five hungry mouths in action HERE.
Their first vet appointment is scheduled soon so we can get them checked over and treated for fleas and worms. We might need some help with naming them all!
We are hoping to continue working with the family to arrange neutering for their female so that they can continue loving their pet without more hungry surprises!”
It is so very important to get your cats neutered. Adorable as kittens are, they are also hard work and unexpected surprises can be quite miserable for the unprepared.

This is the second batch of kittens in our care following the birth of another five to a stray cat from Tooting named Rosie, who arrived into our care as an expectant mother.
We have launched a campaign to raise the £800+ that it will cost for all their treatments & vaccinations.
