We rescued Felix in January as a frightened injured stray. After we treated him, Laura agreed to foster him pending us finding the ideal forever home.

Laura takes up the story, “When Felix first arrived in February, he was timid and hid under a dresser with only his tail visible.
I couldn’t pet him or get too close without him running away. Slowly after many weeks and the addition of treats and cat toys, he became more curious and started to hang out with me.
He was a stray living in a shed, about six years old, so I thought he would try to escape but he never did. Instead, he has learned to play with feeder puzzles and watch CAT TV games.

He even rests on my leg when I do Zoom calls and work emails. And now, I am a foster failure. I will adopt Felix and perhaps foster another kitty down the road if he allows me to do so!

If you would to become a cat or a rabbit fosterer we’d love to hear from you. Please email office@rspcasouthlondon.org.uk
We are also always on the look out for volunteers to help us at fund raising events in South London or to assist us by transporting cats to vet appointments. Please use the email address above for more details.
It is fabulous that Felix has found happiness. We are taking in record numbers of cats at the moment, and as well as paying for any necessary vet treatments or procedures, we often have to place cats in a cattery until they can move in with a fosterer or be adopted. This costs around £8 per day.
If you are able to give a little towards these costs, please click on the donate button below. Thank you.

What an amazing story! Felix is so lucky to have had such a loving environment to transition from stray to forever home. Laura, you are amazing for taking Felix in and giving him such a loving home. Thank you for sharing this wonderful story, it truly brings joy!
