Due to the growing nature of our charity we are looking for four new trustees to join us in our aims to provide animal welfare across South London.
If one of our vacancies fitted your skill set, you will be given full training into the ways and responsibilities of being a charity trustee and you would be joining a thriving and very active animal welfare charity.
We believe in equal opportunities for all and never discriminate based on gender, nationality, religion, sexual orientation or disabilities. You would be joining a diverse trustee board.

As a trustee you would not only be responsible for your own area of expertise but would contribute to the management of the branch and our future strategies in delivering animal welfare.
We hold an on-line committee meeting once a month lasting about 3-hours and also organise various events during the year.

In no particular order, we have vacancies for the following voluntary trustee roles:
Website & Social Media Trustee
We run this successful website and have active Facebook, Instagram, Twitter & You Tube accounts, and we are looking for somebody to take these to the next level to help us spread our assistance messages and generate fundraising income.
Activities would include Co-hosting the website, creating articles and other content, driving follower interaction, owning our social media calendar, pursuing marketing opportunities and generally optimising our channels.

Property Management Trustee
We currently have three shops, with the possibility this could grow further in the near future. All our shops are leased with us being responsible for their general upkeep.
We are looking for a trustee who is a skilled trades person and can help us maintain our properties through their own efforts and via their contacts in other specialist trades.

Compliance Trustee
As a responsible charity, the RSPCA South London Branch adhere to a number of policies that govern how it is run. These include national regulations such as GDPR, employee rights & code of conduct, whistleblowing etc., as well as policies of the National RSPCA charity regarding animal welfare, branding, trustee code of conduct etc.
We also have a risk register detailing our known risks together with mitigating activities & checks.
We are seeking a compliance trustee who will oversee our policies & risk register to ensure that these remain up to date and that we are being compliant at all times.

Treasurer Trustee
This role will suit anybody with a background in finance, banking, accounting or book keeping.
We are seeking a trustee who is familiar with modern accounting practice and accounting management software.
You would be responsible for creating monthly P&L accounts, forecasting and co-managing our bank accounts. You would also work closely with our appointed accountants and auditors.

If any of the above roles appeal to you or you would like more detail, please email office@rspcasouthlondon.org.uk and include the role you are interested in on the subject line.
Closing date for applications is 31st July. Many thanks.
