The answer where animals are concerned is undoubtedly that they are no fun, quite the opposite in fact.
To animals, loud noises spell danger, and more often or than not pets, wildlife & farm animals will cower in the corner, desperate for the bangs and flashes to stop.
We at the RSPCA are not killjoys and understand that fireworks are enjoyed by many at this time of year. All we are asking for is a little restraint & common sense.
The RSPCA have published a guide to how you can help your pet to cope with fireworks, and also how you can send a message to your MP on regulating the sale of fireworks more tightly. You can access it HERE and HERE.

If you are planning to attend a display or enjoy letting off fireworks at home, please remember the firework safety code, and if possible please stick to the weekend of 4th & 5th November so as not to prolong the suffering of our animal friends.
