Thank you to all who are planning an event or challenge in 2024. It’s a great thing to do, setting yourself a challenge to work towards. It’s also a wonderful way to support your RSPCA.
We’re always out and about helping animals in your local area, and it’s important that you know how your money goes to support animals near by.
A recent example is Annie* who got in touch with us a few months ago, after her grandparents’ cat was in a fight and had multiple head wounds. He had a swollen jaw and wasn’t eating or drinking. Her grandparents are in their 90s and couldn’t get him to the vet or afford the emergency treatment. We stepped in and agreed to help pay for pain relief and anti-biotics and Simba was treated and recovered well.

In the words of Annie: ‘My grandad who is 98 years old and our family are forever grateful to your amazing charity for helping us so quickly in time of need and saving Simba’s life. It was such a difficult time so thank you once again and for all you do. ‘
…and Simba hasn’t been in any more cat fights since we’re pleased to hear 🙂
If you’d like to get involved and support the RSPCA there are so many ways to do, and every penny raised really does make a difference. If you’d like to look at events we’re already involved with that you could join find out more here .
