We love to throw a spotlight on the many rescue successes we have due to your support in the South London area. Maggie and Maud have been a dream to watch get stronger and be adopted.
Maggie and Maud were abandoned in the stairwell of a block of flats after their owner didn’t want them anymore. Thankfully, they were picked up by a caring member of public. They were in a shocking state and were both brought straight to the vets.
They were both covered in fleas and their pale gums indicated they were both anaemic due to the flea-infestation. They were also very under-weight (both weighed under 2kg, where they should have weighed closer to 2.5kg at their age).

The vet informed us that they also heard a heart murmur in one of the cat! You can see in these photos just how slim they were at this point.

However, with love and care from us we nurtured them back to good health. As we’ve shared stories and updated on them we’ve found our email inbox flooded with applications to adopt them!
We have now chose a lovely home for them. It’ worth noting we carefully match people with the cats we get in looking at the personality and needs of the animal and the people who want to adopt.
We were also really happy to have heard from the adopter with an update. Maggie and Maud (now Fuji and Tofu) are both doing really well and have shown the adopter just how different they can sometimes be:

“Fuji is so naughty and cheeky but she is so cute you can’t help but let her get away with it. Tofu is a little more reserved but she’s coming out of her shell now and loves a belly rub, it’s a ritual every night now. They are both crazy when playing, launching themselves up and down the stairs and all over. We have to take cover and watch out for flying cats literally!”
