Last year we were lucky enough to be awarded a much needed grant of £11,000 by The Pets Foundation to go towards our boarding and vet fees.
The Pets Foundation is the charity set up by Pets at Home who, since 2006, have helped and supported the rescue and rehoming of animal charities across the UK. They get their funding from the charitable efforts of Pets at Home staff and all their generous customers. So if you have ever given to a Pets at Home appeal in store, thank you so much!
The grant we received went towards our vet and boarding fees for several months last year. It meant that we were able to help an additional 50 animals.
Within that, 42 additional cats and dogs received neutering procedures, which will help prevent many health conditions, reduce straying and fighting and help prevent unwanted litters, who may have ended up abandoned. We were also able to help rescue pets with dentals, treatment for flea allergies and conjunctivitis.
