Adoptober: Meet Bobby

It’s Adoptober! It’s the month where we shine a light on the local animals in our South London area that are in need of a new home!

Meet Bobby, who is one of the biggest turnaround’s we’ve had to date.

Could you give one of our cats a new home?

Bobby came to us after he was abandoned, and he came across completely disinterested in having a relationship with humans! We sent him to our friends at the RSPCA in Canterbury who have specialist staff and facilities for more complex characters, and they did an incredible job at finding the exact right foster environment for him so we could see him come out of his shell.

It turns out Bobby fooled us, as he adores human companionship and all the finer things that come with it. In fact this month he has finally been adopted.

We – at the RSPCA branches – strive to do our best for each individual cat no matter their personality. Even if Bobby ended up not being a pet cat, we would have worked together to find the perfect corner of the world that’s just for him.

Have you thought about fostering a cat? Charities are currently overwhelmed with animals in need, without the spaces to place them. If you think you could foster a cat for us, please do get in touch at enquiries@rspcasouthlondon.org.uk for more information or head to our Adopt A Pet page.
