That Strange In-Between Time (and a Thought for the Year Ahead)
It’s that strange week between Christmas and New Year. The one where Christmas has passed, New Year’s hasn’t quite arrived, and no-one really knows what day it is. It’s a quieter moment, a pause between celebrations, routines, and resolutions.
For many of us, it’s also a chance to reflect. On the year just gone. On what mattered. And on how we might want the year ahead to feel.
As you start thinking about 2026, it’s a wonderful opportunity to think about giving back.Making space for kindness, not just as a resolution, but as part of everyday life. Doing something meaningful.
One of the most impactful ways to do that is by volunteering with RSPCA South London. Our volunteers are at the heart of everything we do, helping animals in need through care, compassion, and commitment. Whether you have a few hours a month or more time to give, your support can make a real difference to the lives of local animals.

So while the days feel a little slower and the year stretches ahead, why not use this moment to think about how you could get involved? Volunteering isn’t just about helping animals. It’s about connection, purpose, and starting the new year with something truly rewarding.
