Spotlight: On Our Work: Zendaya

This time of year sees an increase in cats needing rehoming. A 2-year-old tabby cat, Zendaya, was found with a healed femur fracture, making her leg shorter. She requires an indoor home and experienced owner. She has a special personality, enjoys company, and may do well with a relaxed dog. Funding for her upcoming X-ray is needed.

We All Need Exercise

Many animals, like dogs, cats, birds, rats, and rabbits, require regular exercise for health and happiness. Exercise helps them maintain a healthy weight, build muscle, and improve cardiovascular health. Lack of exercise can lead to obesity and health problems. Enrichment activities and playtime are vital for their well-being and mental health.

Cats Taking The Lead

Cats need exercise, but taking them for walks on a leash may not suit most cats. The RSPCA advises against it because cats are territorial, don't like being constrained, value choice and privacy, and could encounter danger. While some owners have successfully trained their cats, it can be stressful and time-consuming. Consult experts before attempting this.

SPOTLIGHT: Rubic’s Rescue

This post highlights the urgent rescue and care provided to a mother cat, Rubic, and her kittens, emphasizing the importance of timely intervention to prevent fear of humans. Their progress, including socialisation, immunisation, and trust-building is important. We appeal for donations to support the ongoing care and adoption of these animals.
