RSPCA South London – For Every Kind Of Creature
The South London branch of the RSPCA cares for the welfare of animals in our area thanks to the generosity of our wonderful volunteers & supporters.
A young female cat named Bandit was discovered in Mitcham, initially thought to be pregnant. However, an ultrasound revealed she had pyometra, leading to emergency surgery. The treatment cost £866, straining the already limited budget of the RSPCA branch. Donations are sought to support her recovery and future care.
Thank you for supporting our Roxy appeal. We raised £3,371.73 for Roxy and her surviving kittens' care after a costly veterinary emergency. Donations are still welcome.
Our three charity shops in South London also thrive online through eBay, offering unique items to a broader audience. Profits support local vulnerable animals; donations are welcomed. Take a look!
In June, RSPCA branches host One Fun Day events to raise funds for animals. Activities include lucky dips, cake sales, and advice stalls, encouraging community participation and support.
A collaboration with South Thames College fashion students led to innovative sustainable fashion projects using ragged clothing, showcasing creativity while promoting eco-friendly practices in the community.
Our book about the how a bucket changes the fortunes of a large family is out today. All profits will be used for our animal welfare work
In October, we celebrate Adoptober, focusing on adopting rescued animals in South London. Meet Charlie, a nervous but loving cat found abandoned. After moving to a foster home, he’s relaxed and enjoys affection and sunshine. He’s great with children and seeks a family. Contact us to adopt Charlie.
